Implementasi Blue Economy Melalui Kegiatan Budi Daya Rumput Laut Eucheuma cottonii di Wilayah Pesisir Pulau Lemukutan

Blue Economy adalah usaha memanfaatkan potensi sumber daya laut berbasis lingkungan dalam menunjang pertumbuhan ekonomi masyarakat wilayah pesisir. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) sebagai bagian dari program Kedaireka Matching Fund Direktorat Pendidikan Tinggi ini, dilakukan di Lemukutan untuk tujuan meningkatkan keterampilan dan kesejahteraan pesisir melalui kegiatan Implementasi Melalui Kegiatan Budi Daya Rumput Laut E. cottonii Wilayah Pesisir . Budidaya dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode longline, melibatkan sebanyak 15 orang mahasiswa berbagai studi Universitas Tanjungpura serta 10 setempat, selama 4 bulan berkegiatan. Kesuksesan budidaya rumput sangat tergantung pada pemilihan lahan parameter yang mendukung perkembangan laut, teknik sesuai. PKM ini ceramah, simulasi darat kemudian dilanjutkan praktek langsung menanam perairan Lemukutan. Dari hasil menunjukkan kemampuan long line sudah memadai, pengamatan 50 hari relatifve sebesar 220,50%, harian 3.36 %. Penanaman harus memperhitungkan intensitas matahari memaksimalkan berlangsungnya fotosintesis menghindari penanaman masa menjelang ekstrim mana terjadi curah hujan tinggi gelombang kuat.
